Governor Fintiri Reaffirms Commitment to Rewarding Retirees with Gratuity Payments

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration remains committed to ensuring that retirees who served the state with distinction are rewarded. This commitment was reaffirmed by the Secretary to the Government of Adamawa State, Hon. Awwal Tukur, as he received the Taskforce Committee’s report on Gratuity Payments on behalf of the Governor.

In presenting the report, the committee chairman, Engr. Benson Jelani mni, announced that 1,570 retirees have received their gratuity, including 111 retired permanent secretaries, 14 High Court Judges, and other retirees from various ministries and agencies dating back to 2013.

The Secretary to the Government praised the committee for its effective performance and assured that the government would thoroughly review the committee’s recommendations for appropriate action.

This effort follows Governor Fintiri’s establishment of the Taskforce Committee and the release of Three Billion Naira
